Things are good, he's adjusting, and he's finding happy; but she's still not there, and he's starting to realize she probably won't be ever again.

It was a year since he'd had sex, he still wanted the next time to be with her, but waiting for the impossible was leaving him with vivid thoughts of all the things he wanted to do to her, and cravings of every inch of her skin beneath his fingers and lips.

I don't think I'll get her back. As a friend, or...anything. The thought really makes me want to drink...but I won't. I can handle not drinking.

So...there you go. It's over. I'm surprised she stuck around as long as she did.
